Iggesund Paperboard to cut 150 jobs

Report this content

Holmen’s paperboard business, Iggesund Paperboard, intends to trim its Swedish organisation by around 150 positions over the next few years; around 110 of the job cuts will be made in Iggesund and some 40 in Strömsbruk. It is expected that the reduction will be managed by means of natural wastage and retirements. However, the need for redundancies cannot be excluded. The average number of employees at Iggesunds Bruk is 850, while Ströms Bruk, which plastic coats and laminates paperboard, has around 130 employees.
