Johan Nellbeck has been appointed new Senior Vice President Paperboard at Holmen and will take up his post no later than the first of November.

Johan Nellbeck was most recently Senior Vice President and business area manager for Packaging Paper at BillerudKorsnäs, where he has worked since 2006.

“Johan has solid experience of the industry, particularly of developing the business through close collaboration between market and mill. I’m convinced that this, along with his excellent leadership skills, will prove extremely valuable in the continued development of our paperboard business,” says Henrik Sjölund, President and CEO of Holmen.

“I’m pleased and proud to have been entrusted with this role and I look forward to getting acquainted with the business. Fibre-based packaging is the order of the day, and with strong brands such as Invercote and Incada, I’m sure we’ll be able to continue to develop the premium business and service level, combining this with a high level of production efficiency so that we can benefit optimally from Holmen’s strengths,” says Johan Nellbeck.

As previously announced, the current Senior Vice President Paperboard, Daniel Peltonen, will be leaving Holmen to take up a position as President Boliden Smelters.

Holmen’s business concept is to own and add value to the forest. The forest holdings form the basis of the business – an ecocycle in which the raw material grows and is refined into everything from wood for climate-smart building to renewable packaging, magazines and books. The forest is managed to provide a good annual return and stable value growth while our production operations are run with a focus on profitability and greater value added. In 2018 Holmen’s net sales were just over SEK 16 billion and the group has approx. 3 000 employees. Holmen’s shares are listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, Large Cap. For more information, visit holmen.com.
