    Holmen receives global sustainability award

    Holmen has won the Golden Peacock Global Award for Sustainability 2017. The annual award recognises companies for their outstanding sustainability work. This is the first time a Swedish company has won in the sustainability category.Holmen has gained international recognition for its strategic sustainability work, with a focus on the bioeconomy and a sustainable approach to forestry.     Holmen named one of the world’s most sustainable companies

    Holmen has gained a place on the Global 100, an index of the hundred most sustainable corporations in the world. Holmen ranks 21 and is the only company in the forest industry on the prestigious list. Holmen also ranks highest of the four Swedish companies that qualified for the Global 100.The Global 100 list of the world’s most sustainable corporations is announced each year at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.     Holmen included in the UN's global stock index

    United Nations Global Compact 100 is a global stock index that includes one hundred selected companies that shows a strong financial performance combined with a sustainable business.     Holmen invests in Hallsta Paper Mill

    Holmen Paper is investing SEK 200 million in restructuring the energy supply at Hallsta Paper Mill. This is the single largest investment in the mill since the PM 11 paper machine was built in 2002.
