Get a head start with the new AAT Level 4 accounting qualification through Home Learning College
If you’re planning to sign up for the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Level 4 qualification during June 2010 then you should look for a training provider who can offer the new format Diploma, as currently available through Home Learning College. All three levels of the AAT diploma are evolving from 1 July to ensure they are mapped to the Government’s new Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). The QCF has been introduced to make vocational qualifications more valuable to employers and more accessible to learners. As part of these changes, new modules are being added across all AAT levels, while the content of some existing units has been updated. In addition to new course content, the AAT is introducing Computer Based Assessments (CBAs). This means that AAT students will be able to take their exams at any time of the year – rather than just in June and December – at one of the approved training centres across the country. From 1 July all AAT students will automatically be enrolled on the revised qualification. However, Home Learning College has worked hard to ensure that the new format Level 4 course is available a month early, allowing you to get a head start with your studies. The AAT Level 4 Diploma is open to students who have completed the AAT Level 3 Diploma or who have an accounting related degree and wish to obtain a professional qualification. The term Accounting Technician covers a huge variety of accounting jobs - from administration to head of finance - in areas such as forensic accounting, corporate finance, tax, insolvency and more. The qualification is approximately equivalent to the first year of an honours degree and secures entry into one of the chartered accountancy bodies such as Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
