London, UK (14 August 2025) – Horse Powertrain, a global leader in hybrid and low emission powertrain solutions, today announced leadership changes in its Swedish business unit, Aurobay Technologies and sales operations.

As of 1 September, Horse Powertrain’s CEO Matias Giannini will assume Chief Sales Officer responsibilities on an interim basis, while CTO Ingo Scholten will take on the role of interim Managing Director at Horse Powertrain division Aurobay Technologies Sweden, alongside his current responsibilities at Horse Powertrain.

The changes follow Michael Fleiss’ decision to join Volvo Cars as Chief Strategy and Product Officer. Fleiss has held the position of Managing Director at Aurobay Technologies Sweden since 2021 and Chief Sales Officer at Horse Powertrain since January 2025.

The leadership transition ensures continued focus on Horse Powertrain's sales strategy and customer relationships as the company expands its global footprint.

Matias Giannini, Chief Executive Officer of Horse Powertrain, said: "As we continue expanding our partnerships with leading OEMs worldwide, we will ensure seamless continuity in our sales operations during this period. Michael´s industry expertise has been invaluable in delivering our sales strategy and I'm confident his move will benefit both organizations."

The appointment reflects Horse Powertrain's position as a leader in hybrid and low-emission powertrain solutions to major automotive manufacturers worldwide, with Volvo Cars being one of the company's growing list of global customers.
