Horse Powertrain strengthens leadership team to accelerate global growth and customer collaboration

LONDON (12 February 2026) - Horse Powertrain has introduced a strengthened Executive Management Team to deepen collaboration with customers and support the company’s continued global expansion, including its recently established U.S. presence.

 

Over the past 18 months, the company has broadened its customer base across key markets. The updated leadership structure is designed to accelerate decision-making, enhance execution, and ensure seamless delivery of modular and scalable powertrain solutions for automakers worldwide.

 

Matias Giannini, CEO of Horse Powertrain, said “Our focus is execution at scale. We are growing with our customers, and this leadership model allows us to bring technology, industrial capability, and local support together, closer to where value is created.”

 

As part of the updated Executive Management Team:

 

         Patrice Haettel has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO), with global responsibility for manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, quality, ESG, health and safety, industrial strategy, and IT digitalization. He continues as CEO of the Horse Technologies division.

 

         Fortune Zhao has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO), with group-wide responsibility for R&D, engineering, and innovation. He also continues as CEO of the Aurobay Technologies division and retains leadership of R&D within Aurobay Technologies.

 

         Thomas Lewis has been appointed President, Horse Powertrain USA, while continuing as Head of Sales USA and Global Corporate Sales Methods, reflecting Horse Powertrain’s expanding presence in the United States and its commitment to supporting automakers in North America.

 

Supporting these roles:

 

         Ingo Scholten, Deputy CTO, continues as Managing Director of Aurobay Technologies Sweden.

 

         Simon Hu, Chief Procurement Officer, will report to the COO, while continuing as Head of Purchasing for Aurobay Technologies.

 

         Armstrong Yang, Deputy COO, continues as Head of Manufacturing for Aurobay Technologies.

 

Finance, HR, Legal & Compliance, Communications & Public Affairs, Strategy & Partnerships, and Sales functions remain unchanged, with their leaders continuing to report directly to the CEO.

 

By reinforcing its global leadership and bringing technology and operations closer to customers, Horse Powertrain is strengthening its position as a trusted partner for automakers navigating the transition toward advanced hybrid powertrain technologies.
