A winter time treat to remember
It’s quirky, it’s different and one to add to the list of ‘been there, done that’. At 2020m, you can spend the night in one of the 14 igloos, at the Igloo-Village in Kühtai. The “new” Inuit sleep on an airbed with a layer of sheepskin and in a warm winter down sleeping bag. Brave the outdoor Jacuzzi, benefit from a warming drink at the Igloo-bar or be part of one of the evening activities such as snowshoeing or tobogganing. As Austria’s highest resort, Kühtai benefits from snow reliability, ski in/ski out convenience and is conveniently located only 35km from Innsbruck.
Sample package:
Prices start from €163,50 for 2 adults/per night at the Igloo-Village in Kühtai, including a welcome-drink, fondue-dinner and breakfast. Combine your stay in the Igloo-Village with a stay in one of the beautiful hotels in Kühtai or in nearby Innsbruck. Flights with easyJet.com or ba.com start from £59 return to Innsbruck.

Ski and spa at its best
Tough to beat the old classic of a hard day on the slopes, followed by a session in the spa. The Austrians take their ‘wellness’ very seriously, and the Aqua Dome in Längenfeld, located in the mountains of the Ötztal, provides the perfect stress busting ski and spa break. Combining fresh alpine air, stunning scenery, relaxing spa treatments and fantastic skiing is the best approach to maintain a healthy body and mind.
Sample package:
Prices start from €699 per person for 4 nights, arriving Sunday, at the Aqua Dome, including a Spa Vitality Day, a 3-day ski pass for the Rettenbach and Tiefenbachferner Glaciers or Sölden-Hochsölden ski area and a € 20 treatment voucher. Flights with easyJet.com or ba.com start from £59 return to Innsbruck.

Take a step back in time in East Tirol
Best described as traditional, remote and untouched, East Tirol is a small exclave of Tirol, sharing no border with the main Tirol state. The ski pass covers all ski areas in East Tirol from Obertilliach to Kals am Grossglockner, the largest ski areas with 110km of slopes. There are over 400 km cross-country skiing tracks and a new Biathlon- and Cross-country skiing centre in Obertilliach. Ski touring in Innervillgraten comes recommended too, as the only valley in Tirol without any lift.
Sample package:
Prices start from €335 per person for 3 nights at the 4* Hotel Strasserwirt in Strassen, including half board, a horse carriage ride through Pustertal and the use of the new Spa Parlor with Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, steam bath, sanarium - bio sauna and relaxation area. Flights with easyJet.com or ba.com start from £59 return to Innsbruck.

Latest snow news:
This weekend the Austrian Tirol experienced some of the coldest temperatures this season, with more than a dozen resorts registering temperatures of minus 25C. Seefeld recorded the coldest temperature throughout Austria of minus 28C on Saturday night. The cold spell is set to continue over the next few days, with some fresh snowfall forecast towards the end of the week. Despite the cold, the slopes are in excellent shape and the snow conditions are pretty hard to beat the moment so our advice is to wrap up warm.
