Boca Raton Resort & Club Appoints Richard Hayduk as President
Boca Raton, FL – January 28, 2013 – Boca Raton Resort & Club, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, today announced the appointment of Richard Hayduk as president of the historic resort, effective immediately.
Hayduk will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of one of the country’s premier resort destinations and private club facilities. The 356-acre property offers 1,047 accommodations including the 212-room Boca Beach Club, on a half- mile of private beach. The resort also features two championship golf courses and the Dave Pelz Scoring Game School, seven swimming pools, an award-winning spa, 32- slip marina, three fitness centers, one of the top tennis programs in the country, the Premier Club and 14 restaurants and lounges.
A hospitality leader with extensive operational and management capabilities, Hayduk joins the Boca Raton Resort & Club with more than 25 years of international luxury resort, hotel and country club management experience.
Hayduk comes to the Boca Raton Resort from Captiva, Florida, where he served as regional managing director overseeing LXR Resorts and Hotels' South Seas Island Resort, The Inns of Sanibel and the Dunes Golf and Tennis Club located on the islands of Sanibel and Captiva. His hospitality management experience includes The Cliffs Communities, Inc. in Traveler's Rest, South Carolina, where he served as vice president of Hospitality, CEO and general manager of Grand Caribbean Resorts, Ltd. located in Great Exuma, Bahamas. In addition, he spent a 16-year period at The Breakers Palm Beach and similar positions at Hotel d'Angleterre in Copenhagen, Denmark and Grand Hotel Continental in Munich, Germany.
With a strong commitment to the local community, Hayduk served as president of the Captiva Community Panel and worked with several other local community organizations including the facilitation of local initiatives for the National Down Syndrome Society.
