Boca Raton Resort & Club Introduces Inventive “Mizner’s Quest” Tour
New Family Program Offers Interactive Fun and Learning for the Entire Family
Boca Raton, FL– July 22, 2013 – The Boca Raton Resort & Club, a Waldorf Astoria Resort, is rolling out a new, uniquely-designed, scavenger-like program for families. Filled with interactive learning experiences, the customized walking tour guides parents and their kids on a quest to explore 17 Points of Discovery, located around the historic 356-acre Resort.
Families are given a special Mizner’s Quest map and the hunt is on for the “Land of the Orphan Trees,” manatees around the marina, a turtle nesting sanctuary and bird houses built by kids at the Audubon certified golf course. Points of Discovery are identified by distinctive signposts with fun information on nature, wildlife and interesting historical facts at each landmark location. Before moving on to the next site on the map, kids pick up the corresponding, color-coded wristband for that Point of Discovery until they have collected a full set. Children cannot help but learn as they explore and investigate and families enjoy memorable experiences together on vacation.
Families are encouraged to share their experiences with the program and photos on Facebook. Once they “like” the Resort’s Facebook page, complete a certificate and post it on the “Wall of Fame,” they become eligible for the Resort’s “Top Explorer of the Week.” Those who solve the Mizner’s Quest riddle receive a souvenir gift and are recognized on the Resort Facebook page.
The introduction of new Mizner’s Quest follows the recent opening of the newSurfSchoolby Billabong at the Boca Beach Club. From surfing, painting or spinning music, to golf, tennis or exploring, summer is loaded with fun in the sun for all ages.
