A new extra care scheme for older people in Gillingham is starting to take shape. Prospect Place in Pier Road is being developed in a partnership between Housing 21, Medway Council and Berkeley Homes with funding from the Homes and Communities Agency.

Part of the exciting Victory Pier riverside development, Prospect Place will provide 40 one bedroom and 20 two bedroom apartments to rent for people aged 55 and over. Residents will enjoy independent living with the peace of mind of 24 hour support to meet their individual needs.

Facilities include a hair and beauty salon, communal lounge, restaurant and landscaped gardens. Residents will also enjoy high levels of insulation for warmth and comfort and the security of a door entry system with intercom to every apartment.

Anyone interested in finding out more about the new apartments should contact Housing 21’s Lettings Team on 0345 606 6363 or email lettings@housing21.co.uk.

Work on Prospect Place is due to complete in the New Year.
