Plans for the development of an exciting new Housing 21 extra care housing scheme are to be showcased on Monday 12th December between 2.30pm and 6.30pm at Sunnyhill Community Centre, Coleridge Street, Derby, DE23 8AF.

Members of the public will have the opportunity to find out more about the proposals for the development on the site on the former Sunnyhill Primary School during the pre-planning consultation. As well as viewing detailed plans and artist’s impressions, visitors will be able to talk to representatives of Housing 21, a leading provider of services for older people, and Mansell Construction who will be responsible for building the new scheme. The purpose of the pre planning consultation is to discuss with local people what is proposed and to gather public opinion.

Extra Care Housing is a modern alternative to residential care, enabling people aged 55 and over to have a stress-free, enjoyable retirement by offering independent living with 24 Hour on-site care and support for those who require it.
