Social enterprise Housing 21 is supporting this year’s National Poetry Day by holding an online poetry competition.

Following the recent launch of Odes Online, Housing 21’s website poetry corner, the leading provider of housing, care and health services has launched the competition under the National Poetry Day’s theme of ‘stars’. With submissions open to Housing 21’s residents and service users, the entries will be posted online for general public voting on Thursday 4th October from 9am until midnight.

The winner will be announced on Friday 5th October and will receive a £50 shopping voucher with the store of their choice.

Kathryn Collinson, external communications officer for Housing 21 said: “I’m delighted with the response to Odes Online and to the poetry competition. We regularly receive poems that have been written by our customers and thought it would be good to share them through our website. National Poetry Day is the ideal opportunity to showcase their work.”

All are welcome to take part in the online judging which will be open for one day only on Thursday 4th October.
