Housing 21 has been awarded the contract for the delivery of care services at three extra care schemes in the South Lakeland area of Cumbria.

The award follows a mini competition submission from the first county-wide Extra Care Framework Agreement, which Housing 21 was successfully appointed to in November last year.

The contract start date for the three schemes, Birthwaite (Windermere), Jenkins Crag Court (Kendal) and Rowan Court (Ambleside) is 1st April. The service will deliver a guaranteed block contract across the three schemes.

Commenting on the success Simon Wheatley, Development Governance and Bid Analyst Manager for Housing 21 said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract. The addition of the services at these schemes will enable us to develop our service presence in Cumbria. Through previous tendering activity we know that this is an area where we are well regarded and so we are excited about being able to develop the business here.”
