Telenor Selects Huawei for LTE Network Trial in Norway

[Oslo, Norway, June 24, 2009] Huawei, a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, today announced that Norwegian operator, Telenor, the world's 7th largest provider of mobile communications, has chosen Huawei to provide LTE (Long Term Evolution) radio access and EPC (Evolved Packet Core) equipment for its LTE trial in Oslo, Norway.

Aiming at testing services and applications, such as VOD (Video-On-Demand), VOIP (Voice-Over-Internet Protocol), network handover and network throughput, the LTE trial will involve Telenor’s Group Business Development & Research as well as several operating companies within the Group.
