Smart and sustainable

Hubbard Systems has launched ice makers that it claims are the smartest yet when it comes to sustainability. The Scotsman Prodigy-MV machines offer a sustainable and reliable way to create fresh, attractive ice.

Scotsman Prodigy-MV machines are self-monitoring modular ice makers. The front-located AutoAlert indicator lights make upkeep practically foolproof by constantly communicating information about the machine’s operating status, using easy-to-understand universal symbols. It signals when it’s time to perform routine maintenance or to call for service - before it is an emergency.

The Prodigy-MV machines produce dice ice cubes in a choice of two sizes and are available in water-cooled, air cooled or remote condenser versions. Hubbard offers a choice of models including the P-MV 456, which is capable of producing up to 220kgs of ice per day, the equivalent of 22,000 cubes. The units are a global standard width, measuring 760mm (w) x 620mm (d) x 575mm (h) and are designed to sit on top of separate ice storage bins.

The Prodigy range features a patented WaterSense control which reduces scale build up and keeps the machine cleaner for longer. It works by detecting and purging particulate-laden water with every freeze cycle, maintaining the machine’s reliability and efficiency. The range also features Scotsman AquaArmor antimicrobial protection built-in to key components to help protect against bacteria, mould and algae.

The front and side panels can be simply removed to allow clear access to internal components for easy servicing and cleaning.

Not only do Prodigy machines use significantly less energy and water than traditional ice machines, they are quieter too. The innovative fan blade design and quiet compressors reduce the noise of ice making.

The optional Vari-Smart ice level control uses ultrasonic technology to maintain the selected ice level. It allows the operator to determine and programme how much ice they need for up to 7 days. That means the customers get the ice they want, while operators save water and electricity.

The list price for the P-MV 456 (machine only) is £3,630.00
