Huma Gro Turf Fertilizer Solves Top 3 Turf Care Issues for Golf Courses, Parks and Sports Fields

Bio Huma Netics’ Micro Carbon Technology provides a cost effective, environmentally friendly solution to water contaminants, wear and disease. Its Huma Gro Turf product line is up to 33 percent less expensive than competing fertilizers.

GILBERT, Ariz. – Nov. 30, 2011 – Some of the continuous battles fought by those responsible for turf care in golf courses, parks, schools and sports fields are nutritional imbalances, excessive wear and diseases. According to one turf maintenance product manufacturer, the key is to find products that more efficiently deliver nutrients, create a better soil microbial activity, and manage growth.

Bio Huma Netics Inc. — a company that manufactures products for agriculture, turf and ornamental care, wastewater treatment, and other environmental applications — says its Huma Gro Turf product line not only effectively addresses these issues, but is up to 33 percent less expensive than other turf care products.

“What sets our products apart from others is we use Micro Carbon Technology as the base ingredient,” said Bio Huma Netics President Lyndon Smith. “This trademarked technology allows for the most efficient delivery and usage of nutrients by turf. We’ve already seen golf courses experience greener, thicker, healthier turfs after switching to our Huma Gro Turf product line.”

The company has a long history in the turf care and commercial agriculture markets. Most of its growth has been internationally in commercial agriculture as it’s now in 17 countries. Bio Huma Netics is now refocusing its efforts on the domestic market. Smith predicts once word gets out to landscape management professionals regarding its turf fertilizer products, sales will take off as they have internationally.

The Huma Gro Turf product line currently features more than 40 products — all liquid, not granular. Because of the highly efficient nature of the humate-rich, liquid fertilizer concentrates, a little goes a long way.

“With our Micro Carbon Technology, our products are much more efficient than conventional fertilizers — which is why our customers are able to substantially reduce their costs,” said Michael Gardner, who handles the Huma Gro Turf and ornamental products for the company.

Smith says the organic pesticide products in the Huma Gro Turf line are listed by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) for organic use, and therefore offer other benefits as well.

“Those working in turf care essentially have two choices: use a conventional pesticide or an organic pesticide,” said Smith “We’re not going to speak for the conventional methods, but our OMRI registered, organic products allow for golfers to walk on the turf immediately after they’ve been applied.”

Huma Gro Turf offers two organic bio pesticides: Proud 3 for foliar application and Promax for soil application.
