Husqvarna Group has signed a SEK 5 bn sustainability-linked revolving credit facility.

The new facility is a renewal of an undrawn 5 billion SEK  revolving credit facility, originally signed in 2014 and extended in 2020. The five-year facility has two one-year extension options and will be used as a backup for general corporate purposes. The new facility is backed by a group of leading global and regional banks.

“The transaction links our sustainability work with our financial activities and shows a confidence in our financial as well as sustainable performance. Connecting our CO2 sustainability KPI to this credit facility is an important step in our continuous work to integrate our sustainability ambitions throughout our operations”, says Terry Burke, CFO, Husqvarna Group.

The pricing mechanism of the RCF is linked to Husqvarna Group’s CO2 target, approved by Science Based Target initiative, where the Group commits to an absolute CO2 emissions reduction of -35% across our value chain by 2025 with 2015 as base year.

SEB and Handelsbanken acted as Coordinators of the facility, whilst SEB also acted as the Sustainability Coordinator and Handelsbanken as the Facility Agent.
