Belarusian - French Teatro Box 2015 Held in Minsk

On January 20, 2015, the opening ceremony of the joint French – Belarusian project TEATRO–BOX was held in the Center of Modern Art located at 3, Nekrasova St., Minsk.

The project is launched by the International Non–Governmental Organization “Teatro" (Belarus) and the Theatre Association “Demain le Printemps” (France). The program of TEATRO–BOX includes performances, stage plays, and workshops. Young French actors conduct free drama training sessions every Tuesday and Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Anyone who is willing to learn the actor’s art is invited to attend the workshops that will be available until June 2015.

At the opening ceremony, the participants were able to enjoy the following shows performed by young actors from France, Belgium, and Canada:

  • Plastic sketches about love and aspirations
  • A musical happening about childhood
  • A pantomime about a cheerful Japanese man
  • French songs of different periods
  • Canadian rap music
  • Russian lyrical sentimental and folk songs with a slight accent.

About Demain le Printemps (France)

The French Association “Demain le Printemps” was established in Paris in 1994. It is an international theatre school and a center for artistic and cultural events. The school trains actors in techniques and methods of the Eastern European countries.

About Teatro (Belarus)

The Belarusian Association “Teatro” was founded in Minsk in 2007. The association unifies more than one hundred members from Belarus, France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Canada. Most of them are actors, stage directors, musicians, students, and teachers.
