Free Lectures for Women in Tech in Minsk

On March 11 and 16, the Women Techmakers Belarus community organizes a series of lectures titled Open Talks for women who work in IT. The events aim at educating young women about female leaders in IT. The Women Techmakers community is developing worldwide.

Two talks will take place on March 11 and March 16 at the Event Space venue. At the first talk, the lecturers will share their success stories and their experience of living in an IT world. They will speak about what they do for a living and what kind of pros and cons modern women in leading positions may expect. One of the speakers, Oksana Boreyko, will talk about how to build a career in IT and what to do, if your career growth has hit a ceiling. The event will conclude with a round table discussion, where listeners will be able to ask their questions.

The second talk is titled Career: Tips and Tricks and features lectures from HR specialists in IT. A number of qualified HR professionals will discuss important topics, such as gender pay gap, how to earn more and what to say at a job interview.

Women Techmakers is an international community based on Google Developers Group that unifies women working in technology. From 2014, it has been launching global initiatives and piloting programs to support women in the industry.
