IBA Group Joins Alliance of SAP Midmarket Consultants
In 2014, IBA Group joined United VARs, the world’s largest international association of SAP midmarket consultants. As the association’s member, IBA Group attended the ninth United VARs Annual Conference that was held at the SAP headquarters in Walldorf, Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
At the conference, the association of SAP midmarket consulting partners introduced plans to expand its service portfolio. In addition to SAP implementation projects, such as international rollouts, United VARs came up with an initiative to use a follow the sun approach in global support services, including SAP application management services.
“We … intend to gradually expand in the direction of continued support services that we will provide 24/7/365, worldwide, and with consistently great service quality”, emphasised Detlef Mehlmann, United VARs Director and Head of Business Development International at All for One Steeb AG.
To date, the alliance has jointly implemented more than 300 international SAP projects and its current 25 partners employ more than 5,000 SAP consultants. In aggregate, these partner companies generate an annual SAP revenue in excess of $US1.6 billion and serve more than 8,000 SAP customers.
This world’s largest SAP consulting organisation for the midmarket segment welcomed its new partners. In addition to IBA Group, these are illumiti (Canada), SOA People (Luxembourg), and Westrocon (South Africa).
SAP AG considers the alliance to be an important sounding board. Kevin Gilroy, SAP Senior Vice President Global Indirect Channels, said: “Together with United VARs we are shaping the channels of the future”.
