IBA Group Named to Software Magazine’s 33d Annual Software 500

Software Magazine Ranks IBA Group as one of the World’s Largest Software Companies in 2015

Prague, Czech Republic, November 12, 2015 – IBA Group today announces its inclusion in Software Magazine’s Software 500 ranking of the world’s largest software and service providers, now in its 33dyear.

IBA Group was ranked 301, with a total software and services revenue of US$100.5 million. Last year, the company was ranked 278, with a total software and services revenue of US$91.2 million. IBA Group has been selected for Software 500 since 2008 when the company applied for inclusion for the first time. 

The Software 500 is a revenue-based ranking of the world’s largest software and services suppliers, targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers, and business managers involved in software and services purchasing.

The ranking is based on total worldwide software and services revenue from the 2014 fiscal year. Suppliers are not ranked on total corporate revenue, since many, like IBA Group have other lines of business, such as hardware.

According to Software Magazine, the total software and software services revenue for the 2015 Software 500 ranking amounted to $748.7 billion, up 4.3 percent from last year. Another finding was that eBusiness applications, security tools/systems, and healthcare are top growth areas for Software 500 companies.

The total number of employees reported in the 2015 Software 500 is 5,572,404, indicating a growth of 14 percent from last year. The top seven companies are the same as last year, the first three being IBM, Microsoft, and Oracle.  IBM remains to be the top employer, but reports a reduced head count. Of the 2015 Software 500 companies, 423 are public and 67 private.
