Range of products on show signals distributor’s commitment to providing everything installers need to complete a solar PV installation

Oxford, 01 March 2012 – IBC SOLAR has chosen this year’s EcoBuild to unveil three new products. Visitors to stand N3220 will be able to see the company’s new all-black PV module and its upgraded TopFix 200 mounting system, which includes new parts designed especially for the UK market. Also on display will be its high-efficiency inverters, its PV monitoring system and its PV system design software, PV Manager.

“It’s a sign of our regard for the importance of the UK market that we’re introducing new products at EcoBuild,” said Andreas Heinrichs, IBC SOLAR UK Managing Director. “Our goal is to provide installers with all of the components and technical support they need to design and install a residential PV system. EcoBuild is an excellent opportunity for installers to talk to our team of UK experts and find out how we can help them to be successful in 2012.”

Product highlights

  • The IBC MonoSol 250 TX is a new PV module featuring a black full-square cell, black frame and black back sheet, which blends in with any roof type and is particular suitable for detached homes and even for listed buildings. The modules are exceptionally durable and offer maximum performance, efficiency and reliability.
  • Also on display will be the IBC PolySol 240 MS, a polycrystalline solar module. It is suitable for a broad range of roofs, from family homes to large-area, flat-roof mounted systems, since installers can use it in conjunction with the KNUBIX mounting system (likewise the IBC MonoSol 250 TX). The textured cell surface boosts cell efficiency.
  • The three-phase transformer-less IBC ServeMaster 15000 TL Pro+ inverter includes several advanced features that provide maximum efficiency to 98 percent. Three maximum power-point trackers provide optimal output at all times, even in partial shade or in the case of varying module alignment. Ride-through technology ensures the system tolerates voltage fluctuations that commonly occur in the grid: it does not shut off immediately, so electricity continues to feed into the grid for as long as possible. An integrated web server enables installers to easily configure and monitor the inverter from any PC, and the master-follower feature makes it straightforward to set up ‘follower’ inverters to follow the settings on the master.
  • Installers want flexible and safe roof mounting systems that help reduce installation times. The IBC TopFix 200 mounting system features pre-mounted components and clamps, which makes installation up to 20 percent faster than other mounting systems. The first of two new components is a double adjustable roof hook, which means installers save time fitting modules to roofs with a less than perfect pitch. The second is a trapezoidal metal sheet mounting that fixes to the roof without the use of screws.
  • The IBC SolControl monitoring system gives PV system owners all the information they need about how their system is performing.
  • PV Manager helps installers to plan, design and produce customised quotations for customers in a matter of minutes. It incorporates a region-specific database of radiation values that creates accurate energy yield and CO2 forecasts, and automatically calculates the best possible module interconnect options. Once the system design is complete, PV Manager produces a complete parts list with a single click.
