Cramo and IBS today announce the signing of an agreement to further develop and implement an industry specific ERP system for Cramo.

In late 2005, Cramo and IBS signed an agreement that IBS during a period of several years would deliver a new ERP system for Cramo’s rental business. The first two stages of the project are now completed and a new agreement for a third development stage has been signed, further strengthening the relationship between the companies. The agreement covers expanded functionality specifically for the rental industry and will result in the world’s most advanced business system for this industry vertical. The project will start immediately and run through 2011.

”In our line of business we are very dependent on correct and up to date information and it is crucial for us to have not just a good business system but also be able to grow it together with our supplier. We want to feel we are at the front edge of technology, or preferably a little ahead of the curve compared to our competitors with business support”, says Göran Carlson, Deputy CEO of Cramo. “IBS has been our supplier of business critical systems since 1996.”

”When we first signed an agreement to develop an industry specific system for the rental business, it was a major commitment for IBS, but also an important commitment to an exciting vertical. Cramo is a fantastic company and we are proud to have been an important supplier for so long. Even more so as we are firm believers in the rental industry, especially today when all companies are looking for ways of conserving capital”, says Mike Shinya, President and CEO of IBS.
