IBS acquires French company

IBS acquires French company IBS France has acquired 50% of the shares in J.P. Services S.A., with offices outside Paris. The company is specialised in server and network solutions based on IBM iSeries and on professional services for Lotus Notes and IBM's development platform, WebSphere. The acquisition of J.P. Services is part of IBS France's strategy to further strengthen the company's position as a one-stop-shop supplier of business software, professional services, and server and network solutions based on new technology. Following the acquisition, IBS now has approximately 210 employees in France. J.P. Services has experienced considerable growth since being established in 1997. Year 2000 revenue amounted to around SEK 50m. The company is profitable and is well-reputed on the French market. The seller is the founder of the company, Jean-Paul Poirot, who will continue as Managing Director. "IBS' French operations have shown a steady and positive development trend for many years now.
