IBS acquires Swiss IT company IBS has acquired 75% of the shares of its Swiss business partner, Hostettler Informatik AG. The company has a staff of 53, offices in Bern and Zurich and some 100 customers. Hostettler focuses mainly on software and services for e-business, distribution and Customer Relations Management. The Hostettler management keeps 25% of the shares, with an option for IBS to acquire also these shares. - Switzerland is an interesting and growing market with many large and international companies, says Staffan Ahlberg, CEO of IBS. For a number of years, we have had a most rewarding co-operation with Hostettler, and they have sold and installed IBS software in Switzerland with great success. The founder of the company, Roland Hostettler, will stay on as Managing Director of the new company. Hostettler's customers are found primarily within the pharmaceutical, financial, food and textile industries. With this acquisition, IBS now has its own operative units in 20 different countries.
