IBS and IBM in e-business co-operation IBS and IBM have signed an agreement covering world wide e-business co-operation. IBS will have access to IBM's extensive e-business competence and will sell and market IBM's e-business software. IBS can now deliver complete e-business solutions with a focus on scalability, flexibility and availability. -Our co-operation with IBM paves the way for IBS to deliver state-of-the- art Internet-based business-to-business and e-business solutions. The new agreement with IBM reinforces IBS' position as a "one-stop-shop" for business systems, including e-business solutions, hardware and services. It also means that we will be able to offer our customers better support and services on IBM products, says IBS CEO Staffan Ahlberg. -Together, IBM's e-business products and IBS' focus on ERP and Supply Chain Management, create a cutting-edge combination that ensures both companies success in the new e-economy, says IBM EMEA Software Vice President Massimo Bonciani. IBS is a leading international supplier of business software and services. IBS develops and supplies the ERP software ASW all over the world. ASW is a complete and integrated solution covering all the major business processes and business contacts of a company. The product has been developed to target Supply Chain Management and CRM (Customer Relations Management). IBS and IBM have successfully co-operated for a long time. IBS uses IBM's AS/400 Server and market leading database DB2 for the ASW software. The relationship between the two companies is now further reinforced, with a sharp focus on IBM's e-business software. IBS is an IBM Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and will market, sell and integrate into its customer solutions IBM's software Net.Commerce, WebSphere Application Server, Lotus Domino Server and Lotus Notes Clients. IBM and IBS will co-operate on sales and marketing activities, and IBS will also be able to draw on IBM's technical expertise and e-business development.
