IBS delivers business software to the largest bus/coach transport company in Scandinavia IBS has signed an agreement to deliver its business software, ASW4, to Concordia Bus, the largest bus/coach transport company in Scandinavia, including the Swebus subsidiary. The initial order value is some SEK 4m. - IBS' software system is well suited to our needs, particularly since it is developed to meet demanding requirements on Supply Chain Management, says Vasant Mistry, Chief Financial Officer of Concordia Bus. ASW4 is a platform that enables us to grow and develop the Swebus and Concordia businesses, not only in Sweden, Norway and Finland, where we are currently represented, but also in new markets. The most important application functionalities for Swebus and other companies within the Concordia Group are purchasing and warehouse management, service control and maintenance in combination with the ASW4 tools for analysis. The system will connect Swebus' depots, workshops and warehouses in Sweden, Finland and Norway. In Sweden alone, Swebus has some 3000 buses, more than 50 workshops and 70 depots. In all, 200 persons in the Nordic countries will use the ASW system. - ASW is developed to handle modern and efficient materials management for the entire supply chain, says Peter Hörwing, MD of IBS Sverige AB. The deal with Concordia Bus is one of many customer agreements within the automotive and transport industries. They have high demands on the handling of decentralised operations, many stored products and high transaction volumes, says Peter Hörwing.
