The new release of IBS´ Supply Chain Management focused ERP software, ASW 5.50, contains new value-creating functionality, such as an award-winning tool for managing and evaluating enterprise performance, dynamic User Interface and Business Connector Framework for integration to other vendors business software.

Stockholm, Sweden – March 8, 2004 – IBS (XSSE: IBS B) introduces ASW 5.50, the latest release of its specialised business software suite with a number of key improvements. With customer profitability as a central theme, IBS delivers new functionality to help its customers improve supply chain communication, customer service and process automation. The new release includes improvements to the architecture and existing end-user applications, as well as entirely new modules.

Highlights include:

· The introduction of a newly designed and enhanced User Interface to offer greater efficiency of system operations and flexibility when dealing with customers. The Java- based interface can be easily customised to fit individual needs and preferences, thereby facilitating improved sales order management and customer service.

· The Business Connector Framework further improves communication between ASW and external systems, among them SAP, offering advanced integration and automation of system-to-system business processes.

· The introduction of automated workflow routines that increase the efficiency with which customer issues can be handled, while providing decision support and driving reduced transaction processing costs.

· A new e-billing solution, offering a powerful tool to complement invoicing processes, delivering a streamlined flow of communication between IBS´ customers and their customers and suppliers.

· IBS Business Intelligence, providing advanced business and operational measurement with analysis of key performance indicators.

Improved management information with IBS Business Intelligence

One of the most important areas in ASW 5.50 is IBS Business Intelligence - a new solution for managing and analysing enterprise performance, bringing information from different sources together, including industry standard performance metrics and benchmarks from the widely recognised SCOR-model (Supply Chain Operations Reference).

IBS was recently awarded the Supply-Chain Council European Development Award for developing IBS Business Intelligence. The Supply-Chain Council is a global organisation, aiming at improving the supply chain efficiency of its practitioner members.

A key element in the new IBS Business Intelligence is the ability to collect data from a number of different sources, not just from within one ERP-system. In that way, the entire supply chain can be monitored, including internal and external parts that use different systems.

Magnus Wastenson, CEO of IBS, comments on the importance of business performance evaluation solutions:

– There is an increasing demand for improved management information that gives managers the tools to secure process efficiency. As far as I know, IBS is the first software vendor to fully integrate and utilise the SCOR-model in this type of business application. It enables our customers to get an efficient and coherent measurement and benchmarking across their whole supply chain, regardless of which ERP or supply chain software used.

Fast, simple and effective integration
Finally, ASW 5.50 includes a fast and effective integration tool for program-to-program integration. The integration tooling reduces costs of individual business relationships, and increases revenue potential by enabling new trading arrangements that would not be possible by traditional means.

IBS offers the ability to deliver process-based integration solutions that are fast to deploy, simple to maintain, and easy to change – without being dependent on an application or operational platform.
