IBS wins major Portuguese order IBS' Portuguese subsidiary has signed an agreement with the CIN Group for IBS' ASW software and services. The solution will integrate the CIN Group's units in the Portuguese and Spanish markets, as well as their customers and suppliers. The order covers the whole spectrum, from order management and customer service, to procurement, manufacturing and distribution. "New ideas are the basis of any sustainable success. Our new software solution from IBS allows us to go beyond the limits of the present. In this sense, we are defining a new business model to fully exploit our assets and achieve our goals. Our complete chain of value will be reconstructed over the next two years, through the implementation of IBS' software and support," says João Serrenho, CIN Group General Manager. The CIN Group is the largest supplier within the Portuguese ink market segment, and their goal for 2002 is that all applications used by the Group will be web-based. With their new software, they can connect all the different departments and companies within the Group, maximising information workflow and knowledge sharing. The objective is to limit or eliminate paper processes, enhance response capacity, and, simultaneously, dramatically reduce all costs related to communication and IT. "This is an important order for IBS in Portugal," says Magnus Wastenson, VP Global Marketing for the IBS Group. "Our software solutions, combined with a solid and strong implementation methodology, are the source of our success in the supply chain execution market."
