IBS wins order for broadband networks Gavlegårdarna, a Swedish real estate company, has signed an agreement with IBS for delivery and installation of broadband networks in their buildings. Initially, the order value is some SEK 10m, covering switches and fibre optics for 1800 tenants. - IBS has always been able to offer complete solutions covering software, professional services, hardware and computer networks, says Magnus Wastenson, VP Marketing. Based on the strong demand for Internet based services, we will now increasingly also deliver infrastructure for the Internet. IBS, together with IBM, has designed a complete solution for Gavlegårdarna, offering the tenants access to the Internet and broadband communications. The installation work is now in progress and will be finished in December 1999. -We want to give better service and create added value for our tenants, says Stig Källgren, Managing Director of AB Gavlegårdarna. One important criterion in our choice of supplier was the ability to offer a world standard net solution and also the fact that the supplier could assume total responsibility for the installations.
