Lars Nyberg proposed new Chairman of IBS Board

Prior to the Annual General Meeting of IBS AB, to be held on 9 May, it is proposed that Lars Nyberg be appointed new Chairman of IBS’ Board of Directors and that the remaining seven members be re-elected.

Lars Nyberg has an impressive list of qualifications and long international experience in the field of IT as Chairman and CEO of NCR in the USA for many years, and now as Chairman. Other directorships include the post of Chairman of Micronic and Board memberships of Sandvik, Autoliv and Snap On. Gunnar Rylander has declined re-election as Chairman, and thereby leaves the Board. Johan Björklund, MD of Catella Holding, will represent principal owners Catella on the Board with approximately 35 per cent of the votes in IBS AB. Gunnar Rylander has the following comments to make regarding his long career at IBS. ”As one of the founders of IBS, I have been Chairman of the Board of IBS for 27 years. During this time, the company has developed into a leading international business software partner within the field of supply chain management. It is very gratifying to be able to hand over the chairmanship to Lars Nyberg, who with his sound international experience will be able to lead IBS to continued success.” Otherwise, it is proposed that the present Board members be re-elected, which means that the overall proposal for the Board is as follows: Lars Nyberg (new election), replaces Gunnar Rylander, Elisabet Annell (re-election), Staffan Ahlberg (re-election), Johan Björklund (re-election), Kai Hammerich (re-election), Sigrun Hjelmquist (re-election), Lars V Kylberg (re-election) and Stig Nordfelt (re-election). The proposed constitution of the Board has been put forward by IBS’ principal owner in consultation with IBS’ largest shareholders. The Annual General Meeting of IBS AB will be held on 9 May at Näringslivets hus, Storgatan 19, Stockholm at 6 p.m. Notice to attend the AGM will be made public on 7 April.
