Pearson Education chooses IBS Bookmaster software for Asian operations

IBS has signed a six country agreement with Pearson Education Asia. It covers the installation and support of the IBS Bookmaster publishing ERP to service Pearson’s operations in China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Malaysia. The agreement comprises software, professional services, hardware and support totalling approximately USD 2 m.

Pearson Education, the global leader in educational publishing with brands such as Pearson Prentice Hall, Pearson Longman, Pearson Learning Group and Pearson Addison-Wesley, educates more than 100 million people worldwide. Pearson Education is part of Pearson (NYSE: PSO), the international media company. Pearson's businesses also include the Financial Times Group and the Penguin Group. Pearson Education already uses Bookmaster in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and India. Penguin Group, the trade division of Pearson, also uses Bookmaster in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. These include Editorial & Book Production, Royalties, Order Processing & Billing, Warehouse & Inventory Management, Returns Management, Distribution Requirements Planning, Financials and Business Intelligence. - Smooth transition to the publishing industry’s new 13-digit ISBN. - One integrated solution and set of business processes throughout Asia and Australia.
