ICA store sales during August 2007

Preliminary figures put August 2007 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 7,184 million, excluding VAT, up SEK 481 million or 7.2 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 5.4 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, sales excluding VAT have risen by 5.4 percent to SEK 53,218 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 4.1 percent.
Breakdown of August sales for ICA stores in Sweden:
Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 13.7 percent to SEK 1,661 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.2 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 11.0 percent to SEK 12,152 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 2.7 percent.
ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 4.6 percent to SEK 1,857 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.1 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.6 percent to SEK 13,984 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.9 percent.
ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 5.1 percent to SEK 2,483 million. The increase for comparable units was 6.8 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.7 percent to SEK 18,520 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.9 percent.
ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 7.2 percent to SEK 1,183 million. The increase for comparable units was 6.5 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.5 percent to SEK 8,561 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.5 percent.
