Preliminary figures put August combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 7,507 million, excluding VAT, up SEK 322 million or 4.5 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 2.5 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, sales excluding VAT have risen by 7.5 percent to SEK 57,202 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 6.0 percent.
Breakdown of August sales for ICA stores in Sweden:
Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 13.5 percent to SEK 1,976 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.0 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 14.5 percent to SEK 14,619 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 6.4 percent.
ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 1.8 percent to SEK 1,823 million. The increase for comparable units was 2.3 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.5 percent to SEK 14,065 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 5.2 percent.
ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 1.9 percent to SEK 2,514 million. The increase for comparable units was 2.2 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 5.2 percent to SEK 19,361 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 6.0 percent.
ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 0.7 percent to SEK 1,195 million. The increase for comparable units was 1.5 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 6.7 percent to SEK 9,157 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 6.6 percent.
