Preliminary figures put December 2007 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 7,894 million, excluding VAT, 374 million or 5.0 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 3.4 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, sales excluding VAT have risen by 5.7 percent to SEK 80,737 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 4.5 percent.
Breakdown of December sales for ICA stores in Sweden:
Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 10.8 percent to SEK 2,201 million. The increase for comparable units was 2.7 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 11.2 percent to SEK 19,714 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.3 percent.
ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 3.6 percent to SEK 2,045 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.9 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.3 percent to SEK 20,596 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.7 percent.
ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 1.9 percent to SEK 2,533 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.5 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.6 percent to SEK 27,695 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.9 percent.
ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 3.9 percent to SEK 1,116 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.3 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.7 percent to SEK 12,732 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.6 percent.
