Preliminary figures put December combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 8,428 million, excluding VAT, up SEK 534 million or 6.8 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 4.9 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, sales excluding VAT have risen by 7.0 percent to SEK 86,428 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 5.6 percent.
Breakdown of December sales for ICA stores in Sweden:
Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 13.9 percent to SEK 2,524 million. The increase for comparable units was 7.1 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 14.3 percent to SEK 22,707 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 6.4 percent.
ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 3.0 percent to SEK 2,102 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.0 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.0 percent to SEK 21,365 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.7 percent.
ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 4.3 percent to SEK 2,626 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.5 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.6 percent to SEK 28,809 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 5.3 percent.
ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 4.9 percent to SEK 1,176 million. The increase for comparable units was 5.4 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 5.9 percent to SEK 13,547 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 6.1 percent.
