ICA store sales during January 2006

Preliminary figures put January 2006 combined sales for ICA retailers at SEK 6,540 million, including VAT, up SEK 349 million or 5.6 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 3.8 percent.

Breakdown of January sales for ICA stores in Sweden:

Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported increase in sales of 14.2 percent to SEK 1,399 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.0 percent.

ICA Kvantum stores reported increase in sales of 6.2 percent to SEK 1,816 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.5 percent.

ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 1.9 percent to SEK 2,334 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.0 percent.

ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 2.6 percent to SEK 991 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.3 percent.
