ICA store sales during January 2008

Preliminary figures put January 2008 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 6 496 million, excluding VAT, up SEK 417 million or 6.9 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 5.9 percent.

Breakdown of January sales for ICA stores in Sweden:

Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 11.8 percent to SEK 1,612 million. The increase for comparable units was 5.8 percent.

ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 5.9 percent to SEK 1,655 million. The increase for comparable units was 6.3 percent.

ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 4.1 percent to SEK 2,221 million. The increase for comparable units was 5.5 percent.

ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 7.2 percent to SEK 1,008 million. The increase for comparable units was 6.4 percent.
