Preliminary figures put July 2009 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 8,221 million, excluding VAT, up SEK 424 million or 5.4 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 5.1 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, sales excluding VAT have risen by 5.4 percent to SEK 52,386 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 4.7 percent.
Breakdown of July sales for ICA stores in Sweden:
Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 10.7 percent to SEK 2,153 million. The increase for comparable units was 9.5 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 11.7 percent to SEK 14,120 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 8.1 percent.
ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 5.1 percent to SEK 1,928 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.3 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.6 percent to SEK 12,752 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.6 percent.
ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 4.1 percent to SEK 2,723 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.3 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.4 percent to SEK 17,232 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.6 percent.
ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 1.1 percent to SEK 1,417 million. The increase for comparable units was 1.9 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 2.5 percent to SEK 8,283 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.1 percent.
