Preliminary figures put June 2009 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 7,840 million, excluding VAT, up SEK 316 million or 4.2 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 3.9 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, sales excluding VAT have risen by 5.4 percent to SEK 44,166 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 4.6 percent.
Breakdown of June sales for ICA stores in Sweden:
Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 6.8 percent to SEK 2,149 million. The increase for comparable units was 5.8 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 11.9 percent to SEK 11,967 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 7.8 percent.
ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 3.9 percent to SEK 1,893 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.1 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.4 percent to SEK 10,824 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.5 percent.
ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 3.2 percent to SEK 2,557 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.5 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.3 percent to SEK 14,509 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.5 percent.
ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 2.4 percent to SEK 1,241 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.2 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 2.8 percent to SEK 6,866 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.4 percent.
