ICA store sales during November 2006

Preliminary figures put November 2006 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 6,990 million, including VAT, up SEK 422 million or 6.4 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 4.8 percent.

Since the beginning of the year, sales including VAT have risen by 7.2 percent to SEK 78,059 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 5.5 percent.

Breakdown of November sales for ICA stores in Sweden:

Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 12.1 percent to SEK 1,628 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.9 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 14.2 percent to SEK 17,249 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 5.4 percent.

ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 5.2 percent to SEK 1,858 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.6 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 7.7 percent to SEK 20,881 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 6.2 percent.

ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 5.0 percent to SEK 2,460 million. The increase for comparable units was 5.4 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.3 percent to SEK 27,709 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 5.1 percent.

ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 3.9 percent to SEK 1,044 million. The increase for comparable units was 5.0 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.9 percent to SEK 12,220 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 5.3 percent.
