ICA store sales during November 2008

Preliminary figures put November combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 6,903 million, excluding VAT, up SEK 222 million or 3.3 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 1.5 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, sales excluding VAT have risen by 7.1 percent to SEK 78,019 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 5.6 percent.
Breakdown of November sales for ICA stores in Sweden:
Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 12.2 percent to SEK 1,897million. The increase for comparable units was 4.5 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 14.4 percent to SEK 20,183 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 6.4 percent.
ICA Kvantum stores reported a decrease in sales of 0.5 percent to SEK 1,679 million. The decrease for comparable units was 0.5 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.1 percent to SEK 19,263 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.8 percent.
ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 0.8 percent to SEK 2,280 million. The increase for comparable units was 1.2 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.7 percent to SEK 26,202 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 5.5 percent.
ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 0.5 percent to SEK 1,029 million. The increase for comparable units was 1.2 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 6.0 percent to SEK 12,372 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 6.1 percent.
