ICA store sales during October 2006

Preliminary figures put October 2006 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 6,924 million, including VAT, up SEK 434 million or 6.7 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 4.9 percent.

Since the beginning of the year, sales including VAT have risen by 7.3 percent to SEK 71,068 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 5.6 percent.

Breakdown of October sales for ICA stores in Sweden:

Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 13.0 percent to SEK 1,547 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.9 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 14.5 percent to SEK 15,620 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 5.6 percent.

ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 6.1 percent to SEK 1,849 million. The increase for comparable units was 5.0 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 7.9 percent to SEK 19,022 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 6.4 percent.

ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 4.2 percent to SEK 2,467 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.9 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.3 percent to SEK 25,277 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 5.1 percent.

ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 4.8 percent to SEK 1,061 million. The increase for comparable units was 5.7 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.0 percent to SEK 11,149 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 5.3 percent.
