Preliminary figures put October 2007 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 6,577 million, excluding VAT, 472 million or 7.7 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 6.5 percent.
Since the beginning of the year, sales excluding VAT have risen by 5.5 percent to SEK 66,160 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 4.3 percent.
Breakdown of October sales for ICA stores in Sweden:
Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 13.6 percent to SEK 1,586 million. The increase for comparable units was 5.4 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 11.1 percent to SEK 15,699 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.0 percent.
ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 6.0 percent to SEK 1,683 million. The increase for comparable units was 6.6 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.0 percent to SEK 16,979 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.4 percent.
ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 5.6 percent to SEK 2,287 million. The increase for comparable units was 7.1 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.5 percent to SEK 22,887 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.8 percent.
ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 6.9 percent to SEK 1,031 million. The increase for comparable units was 6.3 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.5 percent to SEK 10,595 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.5 percent.
