ICA store sales during September 2006

Preliminary figures put September 2006 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 6,911 million, including VAT, up SEK 436 million or 6.7 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 5.4 percent.

Since the beginning of the year, sales including VAT have risen by 7.3 percent to SEK 64,144 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 5.8 percent.

Breakdown of September sales for ICA stores in Sweden:

Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 10.7 percent to SEK 1,508 million. The increase for comparable units was 4.3 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 14.6 percent to SEK 14,073 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 6.5 percent.

ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 7.0 percent to SEK 1,839 million. The increase for comparable units was 5.6 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 8.1 percent to SEK 17,173 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 6.5 percent.

ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 5.0 percent to SEK 2,482 million. The increase for comparable units was 5.6 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.3 percent to SEK 22,811 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 5.1 percent.

ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 5.0 percent to SEK 1,082 million. The increase for comparable units was 6.0 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.9 percent to SEK 10,087 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 5.3 percent.
