ICA store sales during September 2007

Preliminary figures put September 2007 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 6,365 million, excluding VAT, 264 million or 4.3 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 2.5 percent.

Since the beginning of the year, sales excluding VAT have risen by 5.3 percent to SEK 59,583 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 4.0 percent.

Breakdown of September sales for ICA stores in Sweden:

Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 13.6 percent to SEK 1,550 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.5 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 10.8 percent to SEK 14,114 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 2.7 percent.

ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 3.2 percent to SEK 1,619 million. The increase for comparable units was 3.1 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.8 percent to SEK 15,192 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.2 percent.

ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 0.3 percent to SEK 2,193 million. The increase for comparable units was 1.9 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.3 percent to SEK 20,713 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.6 percent.

ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 2.2 percent to SEK 1,004 million. The increase for comparable units was 1.6 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 4.2 percent to SEK 9,564 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 4.2 percent.
