New CEO of ICA Norge

Solna, August 13, 2008

Antonio Soares has been appointed the new CEO of ICA Norge. He is currently CEO of Rimi Baltic AB, ICAs subsidiary in the Baltic countries. Antonio Soares succeeds Trond Kongrød, who has decided to resign from his post as CEO of ICA Norge. Trond has led ICA Norge during a major change process during the last year and a half and is now handing over responsibility to Antonio Soares. Trond is remaining with the ICA Group; his new assignment will be announced later this autumn.

The efforts to reverse the negative trend in Norway and improve sales and profitability will now continue under the management of Antonio Soares. "Antonio Soares has great experience from similar change programs in the Baltics as well as Poland and Portugal. In recent months, he has also been active in the steering group that is overseeing the turnaround work in ICA Norge. I am very pleased that Antonio has accepted this challenge," says Kenneth Bengtsson, President and CEO of ICA AB.

As CEO of ICA Norge, Antonio Soares will remain a member of ICAs Group Management and report to ICAs CEO, Kenneth Bengtsson.

At the same time, Edgar Sesemann has been appointed Deputy CEO of Rimi Baltic and Acting CEO. Edgar will remain as CEO of Rimi Estonia until further notice.
