The Institute of Car Fleet Management (ICFM) is opening bookings for its next two fleet training programmes – the intermediate ‘Fast Track’ programme leading to the Certificate in Car Fleet Management and the advanced programme leading to the Diploma in Car Fleet Management.

Chairman of the ICFM, Paul Hollick, said: “We are now seeking nominees to join the next training groups to study for the Certificate in Car Fleet Management and the Diploma in Car Fleet Management. Both are externally accredited qualifications and will enhance career prospects as well as enabling attendees to add significant value to their job roles.

“The intermediate ‘Fast Track' programme has proven to be an effective and enjoyable means of enabling Associate members to attain the externally-endorsed Certificate in Car Fleet Management qualification and upgrade to full Member status.

“One of the most comprehensive tutor-led learning frameworks, the advanced programme is dedicated to strategically-focused principles and skills for effective management of car and light van fleets. Successful completion of the programme leads to the award of the prestigious Diploma in Car Fleet Management externally endorsed qualification. The Diploma is invaluable in differentiating candidates for senior fleet management positions and leads to automatic Fellowship of the Institute.”

Intermediate ‘Fast Track’ Programme leading to the Certificate in Car Fleet Management

The programme comprises one two-day and two three-day modules spread over eight months and incorporates assessment elements in the five core competence elements of administration, finance, acquisition, law and people management.

Advance programme leading to the Diploma in Car Fleet Management

The programme comprises four two-day modules (tutorials) over twelve months with three work/role-based projects completed after attendance on the second, third and fourth modules. These projects are presented to the peer group members on the programme. The final stage before qualification is the production of a written dissertation.

If you are interested in enrolling in either of the above programmes, please e-mail administration@icfm.com for comprehensive details including eligibility criteria, programme summary plus a list of typical learning outcomes that can be used for making a business case for employer sponsorship.
