1ST BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS FOR MEDICX PHARMACY APSLEY
The Team at MedicX Pharmacy Apsley is celebrating its very first birthday!
The pharmacy, located at the Lincoln House Health Centre on London Road, has had a tremendous response to its services and expertise with more than 60,000 patients using the pharmacy since opening and an industry-leading award acquired for its stylish interior design.
MedicX Pharmacy Apsley, which is open until 10pm every day of the year including weekends and bank holidays, employs 12 team members and celebrated its first birthday on 1st September 2012.
Pharmacy Practice Manager Herpreet Sharma said: “Patients are at the centre of everything we do and we’re delighted to be celebrating our very first birthday.
“A lot has happened during the last 12 months and most importantly of all we have worked closely with primary care organisations, GP surgeries and partners to provide a comprehensive range of services for the benefit of the local people.
“We have a pharmacist on site 365 days a year until 10pm as well as a team of professionally qualified dispensers and healthcare assistants to ensure patients can access the best quality pharmaceutical care available.”
As well as dispensing services, MedicX Pharmacy Apsley provides a prescription collection and delivery service which is freely available to everyone.
Other free services available include medicine use reviews, advice and support for patients receiving new medicines for long term conditions, smoking cessation services, diabetes testing (blood glucose level) and blood pressure testing.
The pharmacy also hosts dedicated treatment room facilities known as HealthSpace for health professionals to provide services such as podiatry and physiotherapy in the heart of the local community. - MedicX Pharmacy started in 2008 under the leadership of Chief Executive Steve Jeffers and Operations Director Gavin Birchall.
