GREAT COMMUNITY RESPONSE TO NEW PHARMACY SERVICES AT WALLINGTON
MEDICX Pharmacy Wallington has welcomed more than two and a half thousand patients since it opened a few weeks ago.
Pharmacy Manager Sanjay Mistry said there had been an excellent response to their services and facilities located at the new Wallington Medical Centre, which replaced the old Shotfield Health Centre.
MedicX Pharmacy’s patient-focussed approach and stylish interior design which enables people to speak to pharmacists in semi-privacy, as well as its free prescription delivery service have been particularly welcomed.
The pharmacy is equipped with two private consultation rooms, a large reception desk and a semi private prescription hand out area which allows advice and information to be provided discreetly to patients.
Award-winning MedicX Pharmacy operates a total of 15 pharmacy practices throughout England including practices in Greater London and the South East as well as Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Lancashire and Yorkshire. Largely situated within newly-built GP health centres, MedicX Pharmacy has an excellent reputation among healthcare professionals and patient communities.
Sanjay explained: “MedicX Pharmacy is delighted to be part of the community in Wallington and there’s been an extremely positive response to our services and facilities.
“The design and layout of the pharmacy has been particularly appreciated - people love MedicX’s fresh approach and there’s been a fantastic reaction to our free prescription delivery service which is widely available to people living locally.
“Our team of pharmacists is working in close partnership with GPs to help us provide the very best patient care and become an integrated part of local health care provision.”
As well as traditional dispensing services and the prescription delivery service, the pharmacy practice will be shortly introducing advisory, testing and screening services such as blood pressure and cholesterol checks, smoking cessation services, life style assessments as well as medicine use reviews, advice and support.
